Packing is taking me a long time. I don’t like to throw things away. I like to keep things big and small and all of those things has  meaning or a memory attached to it.

Seaglass from this beach and that beach and the vacation from 1999, candy jar from camp, boxes and boxes of snap shots, an acorn, coins from india, ticket stubs, china cabinet found in front of 68 Harriet st, wish bone from this thanksgiving turkey, the sweater i wore on my first date with steve which i don’t even like anymore (the sweater not steve),  birthday cards circa 2005,  bird pin from mexico, 5 holga cameras (4 that probably don’t work), a small urn of ashes, a snoopy mousepad (haven’t had a desktop in 5 years),  every card steve has ever given me, yellow chair found on the side of the road in medford, 34 latte bowls all different colors, oliver, 2 sewing machines (i don’t know how to sew and i think both are broken), green raincoat that belonged to my mom in the 70′s?, 2 green anthropologie lamps & 1 green lamp shipped from a thrift store in st louis, epson printer that i practically got for free, heaven perfume (i wore in highschool…there is a tiny bit left), a jewerly box jenny gave me the day she got married….

packing is emotionally and physically exhausting.

I have been missing my polaroid camera dearly. I stocked up on film before you couldn’t find it any longer and the last bit that I had has been looking very sad, brown and streaky.  I almost bought one of these guys

for my upcoming vacation. Good think I was indecisive (or lazy) because Steve bought me four amazing packages of these…

Its just the regular old polaroid film preserved with this fancy lil covering from the impossible project! They have created brand new PX Silver Shade Instant Film that makes the most amazing photographs. They are working on type 600…I am waiting….

but for now I will look at the beautiful PX 100 photos…

…i want a land camera!

happy easter!

So its that time of year again. All of Sean’s friends and family will gather in his backyard to spend a night remembering him, telling stories and celebrating his life. I love how this event brings all of us together year after year. Sean had so many different groups of friends that didn’t always seem to mesh together but even now after he still has the power to get us all together….even if its only for one night.
